Got a quick response and he said "Liquid nails construction"
So now I have to get this settled in my mind and use the best product.....
Maybe tube epoxy that self mixes? 5200?

I don't see the point of using more expensive alternatives. (I used a lot of 3M5200 on my sailboat and I'm not a big fan of using it unless really necessary.)
Why not just use the suggested product- either Liquid nails or Loctite PL?
I wouldn't have any doubts about using them.
(BTW, I don't think that a woodstrip SUP will last longer than 20 or 30 years before it rots from the inside, but that won't worry me! :-) )
