For years I've used a pair of home made saw guides for my circular saw. I copied the same idea my father used 60 years ago.I've even made a smaller guide for my saber saw. They all work great. The only thing that has changed over the years are the "C" clamps.

Thanks for those instructions, Paul.
For years I've used a similar crosscutting (90 degree) guide jig. It's one of those "I'll just make a quick jig for this one project" things that's still in use after 20 years. It certainly won't win any FineWoodworking awards for looks! :-) But it does the job.

My days of wrestling sheet goods on to the table saw are over. I have a good tablesaw setup (fixed infeed and outfeed tables) and it's still dangerous. Besides, those full sheets of material are much heavier than they were 20 yrs ago. Must be a manufacturing change?? :-)

Happy New Year, everybody!
