So this is a dug-out boat. Is that a historical icon from some island from 100s of rears ago converted into a modern usea boat? Or someone's personal project of actually carving a long boat from a log?

John is right. You just epoxy the pieces back together with clamps then you may skin the repairs with glass. I guess the tragedy beyond the obvious is the purity of the construction method is violated. Where did this happen?

I may be mistaken, but I think KSARZE has posted here before from Panama?
The boats are traditional canoes that are used for 'team' (4 person?) racing, as I recall.
