I bought a Bosch contractor saw from Home Depot a couple years ago after doing some research. It's a different model from what you're showing - they go for about $350. The fancy stand is extra - but I just have mine sitting on a home-made stand.

I've been very happy with it - I'd rather have a proper cabinet saw, with the stability that comes with the weight and size - but somehow money is indeed an object, so I work with what I've got.

It seems well-made, never had any issues with power, and folds up nicely (although I don't normally care about that). It does have a very thin insert plate - too thin to make my own, I had to buy the plastic zero clearance version.

I'm sure contractors cut sheet goods on it all the time, but I don't, I find it easier to cut plywood with a circular saw and a straightedge. But I think it'd be pretty straightforward to build some extension tables to make it safe and easy to do so.

All that said, though, if I were to do it again I might consider skipping the table saw entirely, and investing in a good quality bandsaw instead. (Can you cut strips on a bandsaw? Seems like it'd be possible, as in some ways strips are a special case of re-sawing, which is one of the primary specialities of bandsaws, right?)
