Bill, I am sure the personnel at the Apple store informed you of the Genius bar. Make an on-line appointment and they will fix any problem you have for free. They also offer a program that gives you "X" number of hours instruction per year on anything you want to learn about or an exceedingly modest fee. They also give group classes on selected subjects.
My mother-in-law is 93 yrs. old and has struggled with Windows for many years. We finally talked her into getting a Mac. Her biggest concern was that she would have to learn a complete new system. 8 months later she is still mad we didn't make more of an effort to talk her into the Mac earlier :)
