It appears that Bosch has their own version out on their new contractor saw called the REAXX. The blade completely retracts upon sensing flesh (looks like they use a CO2 cartridge) and doesn't get wrecked (unlike the SawStop). It has a riving knife and accepts 8" and smaller dado blades. If I was in the market for a portable saw I'd look into it.

From their website (https://www.boschtools.com/us/en/more/news-and-extras/specials/reaxx-2-final/)

The REAXX™ table saw detects human flesh that comes in contact with the blade and rapidly drops the saw blade below the tabletop. This high-speed action helps mitigate the potential of serious user injury and occurs without damaging the blade. After activation, the system can be reset in less than 60 seconds. A dual-activation cartridge enables two incidents before a replacement cartridge is needed.
