In that foam thread I made a comment about Nick and Rob that on re-reading, sounds like I was being dismissive and suggesting they were "only interested in pretty boats." That is SO not what I meant, and I'm absolutely mortified, particularly since everyone here has been so gracious.

What I was trying to say - and this is probably a dumb observation anyway - was something along the lines of if your goal is to build better boats, then you aren't going to be interested in "probably good enough, but easier." I meant it as a compliment, because I think their boats are fantastic.
