Have you used a cupped blade to determine if you like it?

I have plenty of euros and I found that the cupped blades don't scull or travel through the water as smooth as flat curved blades. A cupped blade will give you more purchase for its size than a flat curved or flat blade. Sell wind resistance but gathering more purchase. For my paddling style, I incorporate sculling strokes and sweeps quite a bit and found cupped blades not enjoyable. And way back when I learned to roll, sweeping the paddle out was a chore with a cupped blade. That's my personal experience with cupped blades. Although I use mostly GP these days, my point is don't assume a cupped blade is best for you unless you try it and like it before building one unless you just want a challenging building project.
