Paddle: cupped Euro blades

Most of the high-end Euro paddles have cupped blades, both end-to-end and side-to-side (double-cupped).

Has anyone tried to make blades like these? I was toying with the idea. I don't think that it would be hard to fabricate a form for a cupped blade using cedar strips and then vacuum-bag the blade to this form.

The problem is coming up with good offsets for the cross sections of the blade. I don't have a high-end paddle to use as a reference and anyway there might not be best to just copy them.
