I'll add a caution from an inexperienced big water paddler. Did a couple day paddles among the numerous little Rock islands and thoroughly enjoyed it. It really is a magical place. The weather on the third day was overcast and windy. We paddled out of chikanishing creek and crossed over to the Western tip of Phillip Edward island staying among the small islands. I decided to venture out into open water and quickly realized that it was a bad idea in my 12' Acadia recreational kayak. I managed to get turned around and we headed up the inlet between Phillip Edward island and the mainland till it was easier to cross and return to chikanishing creek. I'm not all that sure that I would've felt any better in my Yost sea tour 15. I've yet to learn to roll and a wet exit and re entry wouldn't have been any fun at all.
