I would have been interested in the answer to this question, but my dad died recently, and now I believe I just may be in possession of the world's largest collection of clamps. Of course, I'm not sure how much use an 8 foot bar clamp will be on a kayak project, but you never know. I thought about using the plastic dip, but couldn't figure out how to dip them and simultaneously keep the clamps open while the stuff dried. Good luck!
