Table saw, which is how I would have cut them to start with.
Much more precise.
Use a featherboard to keep them up against the fence while you are cutting them.

No big deal, 3/4 is not the "only" width to use, but it helps if you make sure you put the same width on both sides at the same level. That mostly keeps the strips meeting correctly at the bow and the stern
