I am a fan of Rustoleum Marine Topsides paint. It goes on great and the results are fool-proof. Just make sure your coats aren't too thick or it won't cure (It will stay gummy and will scrape right off). I use it on skin-on-frame kayaks over 13-oz polyester. It's rugged and very inexpensive, but the results are great. It self-levels very well, so putting it on with very nice roller cover in a shady place leads to a shiny brilliant surface.

Now- if you want to get fancy and can spray or have someone spray for you- Awlcraft 2000 is the way to go.
