Have you used the 3/16 strips on your forms yet?
There should be a little more fairing to be done in tight curvature areas. Not at all sure this is mostly theoretical or a practical issue.
I'd be interested to hear your opinion after you have stripped some of the hull.

Cedar is very soft and easy to plane but it will eventually wear the edge of the blades. If you do this much, keep an eye for the sharp edges of the cove to see if they start tearing off. You would then want to sharpen the blades. Don't wait as long as I did :) It is not fun having to repair missing edge pieces.
