I got out for a short paddle yesterday after a morning blizzard. The best part of building kayaks is paddling them. My oldest daughter was kind enough to drive the kayaks and I an hour north to where my youngest daughter lives. We went out paddling, she is still loving the avocet kayak and her bending branches paddle. I am going to have to build a low volume avocet for her. We saw a lot of waterfowl including over a hundred tundra swans. Afterwards we took a short hike breaking through snow at the ranch, we saw elk and wild turkey. She thought it would be great after that to do some skijoring and hit the climbing gym, I guess I better get myself into better shape.
