Whatever you make it out of, a gooseneck hinge will be heavier than a more typical simple hinge.
Not only because they are bigger, but because the shape is inherently not very stiff.
Composites would be the best material to make it stiff and "lighter" but its a difficult geometry to lay up.
If you come up with a method to make them, I may steal it for the F-35. :)

It needs lighter where ever it can be found.
