Here is a pic of my rough cut, first draft seat. At this point I only have about an hour into it, besides the glue up. I have to buy a carbide sanding disk, I think it's called the holey galahad, or something like that. From KING ARTHUR TOOLS. This will help me remove all the wood around the inside and help define the shape of the seat.

I was really surprised on how fast and easy the chain saw disk worked. I cut down to the max depth the saw would allow for, about 2" then took my 2" chisel and hammered all the wood out and then repeated.

I am going to start to make another one and really try to figure out on how to attach the seat to the boat and be able to make it adjustable.

Before I start another glue up, any suggestions on what way the wood should be going? perpendicular to front or parallel?
