In Response To: Strip: Help choosing a touring design *PIC* (Ian Johnson)

It will help to know what kind of touring you plan to do, for how long, where, what time of year and in what conditions? Some use the term "touring" to describe a faster but still low volume boat for day trips, some for higher volume boats capable of extended expeditions in remote waters--and then again, of course, there's everything in-between!
