I've built lots of boats over the years, up to 30'. I wouldn't even dream (nightmare) about doing a 30 footer again.

Kayaks and canoes are another thing, they are relatively easy.

I do though have plans for building an 18' overnighter sailing trimaran once I'm retired, there just isn't anything you can buy commercially that competes that isn't wildly expensive.
