Every time I launch, someone approaches me and admires the boat and knows someone who has built one or is building one.

Hobbies like this level off too but the internet has allowed people to search out things they never knew existed in such numbers like others who do what they do. One time I was interested in what wood the American Indians used to make bows and googled it. There's clubs everywhere who do these things, have meets, sell stuff etc. and on and on.
