I think sanding is probably your best bet. I have found with Kevlar that if you keep going to finer grit sandpaper that it will reduce the fuzz. If you then skim coat it with epoxy to bond the exposed fibers before another final sanding, you can pretty much eliminate the fuzz for a good final finish.
