The repairs were done quite a while ago (>20 years).

I did the repairs at a garage I shared with several other surfers (and boaters) and used materials we had on hand. The tape is probably cut from 6oz. fiberglass cloth we used on surfboards and the mat was left over from somebody's boat repair. We had polyester laminating resin, polyester sanding resin, sun cure polyester resin and epoxy in the garage. I can't remember what I used in each area, but it was probably sun cure polyester or just plain laminating resin as the dry time is so much faster than epoxy and I would typically do a repair and use the boat within an hour.

The area under the seat was soft and had a slow leak. The mat stiffened that area considerably and stopped the leak. The keel had some small chunks missing and heavy wear. The holes were probably filled with Q-cell or putty then glassed. The seat area was just glassed. As you can see, no attempt was made to a do complete repair with sanding resin and gel coat.
