Again, the fiberglass cloth isn't waterproof, all you're doing is adding weight if the laminate is already strong enough. Epoxy resin on the other hand "is" waterproof and adding more will help. Only advantage of adding more cloth is it's easier to build up a decent thickness with the epoxy using it. Don't over sand between coats either, the idea is to build epoxy thickness.
