One change that I have made to the system is to the compression olive on the stainless steel axel pin.

Instead of using the supplied brass compression olive, which obviously won't compress on the steel rod, I use a small ring of the plastic tube I use for the Maroske fittings. It creates a nice waterproof compression olive.

Of course, you may be able to find a real rubber compression olive, but not in Ireland you won't.
