I thought this thread was about handles. I'm just finishing, like really just finishing, and only have handles to complete. I've been debating the best method for knots and knobs and such. Some pictures would be great!

Are these 'carry handles' mounted in/on the deck away from the extreme ends of the kayak, or 'end toggles' - handles connected to the pointy ends?

End toggles are handy for carrying the boat, but have an important safety role (when a paddler becomes a swimmer) as well.
If you are making end toggles, please ensure that a hand or fingers cannot get trapped in a loop of line - injuries have resulted when a swimmer's hand was in a loop and the kayak was rolled by a wave/surf.

The NDK toggles are well designed.

If you have toggles with rope loops, the two parts of the loop can be stitched together with a needle and sail twine/heavy thread - use a palm and needle or a Speedy Stitcher.
