Thank you for the replies, Bill & John. Its an Outer Island, the second one I've built. I know what you mean about boats that seem to track wrong until you adjust the seat position, etc, and I've been there. Yesterday, I took it out from 4MRRR. I was careful to take a symmetrical grip on the paddle, checked seat & foot peg positions, etc. I tried it with direct headwind, quartering winds, and a tailwind, and on all points, it tracked right. It surfed to the right. I usually had to heel the boat 10 degrees to go straight.
At home, I aimed down the keel, and it looks like the stern form section was not aligned properly.
