Pete I've been using 1000denier Cordura. You get it wet when you sew it up. When it dries it's super tight to the point of flexing the frame. Like Mark said, you can't do that easily with a solid coated fabric. Tom Yost uses coated fabrics for his designs, and he has a good tutorial on his web site. Looks like much more work.

Pete I think I paddled with you Claudine, and Stan a few times at lake wintergreen. I have a partial roll of Cordura that's collecting dust, if you want I can get it to you at some point.
