For those of you that dream of building a fast kayak turn directly to page 40 and prepare to be discouraged. The other articles are very good reads. Be sure to check out the add on page 13 to know why you should learn to use a wide angle lens properly before you try selling images. I bet that lady paddles in circles.

Second I tried a Greenland paddle for the first time today and really enjoyed it. Thanks Brian Nystrom for writing a great builders manual that made the building process completely enjoyable. I have already bought another 2X4 but I am mostly thinking about building a hollow one for the challenge, I doubt I will save weight.. The picture below is Dave paddling Avocet which has been renamed Heidi's boat and using the new paddle (he really liked the boat but he is not crazy about the paddle).
