Sea boats without bulkheads are shunned by the Seakayak Association here. The issue being that it turns a T rescue into an X rescue.

There are ways to empty open boats that work well. I have had success by pulling out the bow bag, submerging it beneath the overturned cockpit, and gently rocking the boat sea saw fashion, then flipping it over, high and dry. You have to be fat enough to submerge the buoyancy bag though. :-)

There was discussion regarding SOFs around this issue for a while. Still not resolved really.
