My Dad and I are in the middle of building our first cedar strip kayak. We are building the boat for a race in late July and we settled on the Great Auk Double design. It said in the plans you could take out form number 11 to make the 21 foot long boat a 20 foot long boat. The problem we have run into is the location of the cockpits with respect to the center of buoancy since we have deviated from the standard design. Is there an easy way to find the center of buoancy and the location of the cockpits with respect to each of our weights? All suggestions are welcome. Thanks!
