Not complaining about this forum or it's owner at all Bill. If this forum wasn't here I probably wouldn't be building a kayak. I am just saying that with the correct software it is just as easy to post a photo as it is to post text.
As far as being a free site is concerned that is by choice. It is wonderful that this wealth of information is provided free to all of us. The Biplane forum is exactly the same, free, with one exception. Members are given the option to financially support the site if they wish. A couple clicks of a mouse and a monthly or annual donation is made through PayPal. As with all groups only a minority offer financial support but the option is there.
When we set up the Biplane forum we selected designated "monitors" that had the power to nip "problematic" posts in the bud. We could edit or delete them as necessary and if things got out of hand the poster could be asked to leave the forum. The forum is over 10 years old and fast approaching 5000 members and we have never had to "monitor" anyone.
This forum and the Biplane forum are the two best sites I have ever been on. Information is shared freely by everyone with absolutely no "problematic" posts to deal with. This is a great testament to the quality of the membership on both sites of which I am glad to be one of those members.
