Launching: A few more short trips with Avocet PICS

Will I managed to get in one morning trip before a week of travel and a couple short paddles over the 3 day weekend in the U.S. My daughter came with on the last 2 paddles and has claimed Avocet as hers although her small size and paddling ability begs for a lower volume and more lively boat. I am still very happy, she has turned out to be a great photography boat. I have been paddling mostly in the rain and cold which I like because I like being out when things are changing and different (I live in the desert for those of you in the pacific northwest or E.T. it would be like paddling on a sunny warm day). I still need to make an under the deck hammock but I made the mistake of buying Brian Nystrom's book on building Greenland paddles and I have another project started.
