This is quite an old thread I know, but if either of you have any build notes kicking around from your F1 build I'd sure appreciate if you could share them.

Hey Bill,

Well ... the F1 is 169.75" long and the length in your sketch is 167" ... so there's a bit of a discrepancy. I'll send ya a copy of my notes so you can see how I located stuff.

As to that first rib ... on mine the distance from the front edge of the back rest beam to the front edge of the rib you're referring to is 4.25" ... the reason is simple ... I didn't read Brian's note until after I made the mortices. I suppose Brian's 3" dimension would be better but in my case it's a non issue ... as I don't sit on that rib.
