I once "lost" my Yost Sea Ranger doing that, pulled it up in the brush and went on a bit of a hike, when I returned I couldn't find it. It's dark semi-gloss brown, hides well in the brush.

Luckily was with a friend and his bright blue kayak was easy to find, once he left shore he could see my kayaks stern sticking out of the brush into the water.
