Strip: Microbootlegger Internal Stem

Slowly making progress on the Microbootlegger solo, gonna be a beautiful boat and only one oops on my part so far... repairable but involved cussing and a break for Johnnie Walker. Anyhow,, I'm almost complete stripping the hull and I am looking at the internal stems and thinking that when I start stripping the deck that the stems will hold the deck together at both ends, making it somewhat impossible to separate the halves.

I assume the stems are cut at the sheerline joint beteern the deck and hull but is this done before or after stripping the deck?

Thanks!
