"Its meant to be a lot of work Randy, if it was easy we would get bored."

Etienne, I am presently just starting another two kayaks, one for my wife and another for my 50 year old daughter. I am also just starting to build a house for my son to be completed and moved into by late this fall and, hopefully, finish an aerobatic biplane I started two years ago to a flyable condition by spring 2016. "bored" is no where on my radar :) I am only looking to save some time by using another method to achieve the same results - providing the methods - skeg vs keel strip - achieve similar results. If they don't I will be constructing two more of your excellent retractable skegs - - even if it means my son won't get his house until next year - and I don't get my plane until 2020:)
I realize you had a smile on your face when you typed your reply and so do I - just thinking that you designed your skeg just to keep me from getting bored makes me feel extremely important :)
