Skin-on-Frame: keel hogging on canoe question

I know it's a canoe not a kayak. I've been building a canoe in the Morris SOF style.

I just popped it off the section forms the other day, and noticed that it had a little hogging. It's about an 1/8" reversed. I was set up to give it a 1/4" of rocker on center. The sheer looks fine. It's just that little bit of hogging.

Is the easiest thing to do just to plane down a piece and essentially shim the keel out?

Thanks,

John
