Strip: dried glue in seams

I have sanded with 80 grit sandpaper, and it looks likes I opened up some seams in my strip built kayak. I now have dried glue showing up in a lot of seams. I used bead and cove strips and I thought I was doing a good job laying them down, although this is my first boat.

I would like to know what I did wrong and any ideas on how to cover up the white glue marks?

Thanks for any ideas.

Marc
