I worked in a cabinet shop owned by a friend of my boss's for a couple of days. In our shop we used pin nails and glue to hold our carcasses in place before we screwed them, but in the other shop they were using the hiPURformer poly hot glue. I don't know why. It set really fast, so it was hard to square things up, and it wasn't strong in that application, so things were getting knocked apart a lot. It seemed like a solution in search of a problem.

You asked for my experience with the product-

Now- I don't think that any of those characteristics would make it ideal for doing strip building, unless you were planning to paint instead of varnish and were using really short strips that you could hold in place while the glue set. HOWEVER- I think it might be an ideal product for wireless stitch-and-glue construction. Most guys are using CA glue, which is so viscous it has very little gap=filling potential, whereas this product does, and it sets almost as fast. I'm thinking of trying it on my next build, which will be plywood.
