Strip: Generating a nice epoxy finish prior to clear coat

Hi forum,

I've moved my setup into the living room, thanks wife.... I've done the following to make the smoothest coats possible:

-Heat the room to 75-80F
-Heat the epoxy in a water bath to 80F
-Wet sand with 120 grit to remove any high spots or transitions
-Scrub with a 3m pad and warm water
-Wipe down the surface until all the residue is removed
-Mix about 3-4 ounces of System 3 with fast hardener (tried slow as well)
-Roll on with the correct rollers from CLC
-Top off with a foam brush

I don't have any more evidence of blush and make sure there aren't any holidays. Some of the surface is really nice. Some of the surface has a mottled look, full coverage but looks rough with glancing light. I plan on doing 3 full coats to make sure I have enough thickness to level any areas. It just doesn't look like I'm making any progress on the final smoothness. Does this all get leveled with final wet sanding? Should I be sanding with a finer grit between coats? Am I just worrying too much about the final finish prematurely?

Thanks in advance,

Phil
