You have to 'get it on the internet' somewhere.

This is not strictly correct.
If you have a "profile' here at KayakForum, you can upload pictures from your computer directly to the KayakForum server, without using an internet 'picture storage' site. In the 'Reply' window there will be 'Upload embedded file' above the text box.
IMO, this is much better than using a web intermediate storage site, because the pictures will be kept here and won't result in 'dead/broken picture links' when the user account expires at an outside web site. Looking in the archives here at Kayakforum, many of the web picture links are dead or broken.

How do you know if you have a 'Profile' and are logged in here? Your user name will be in bold, blue font.
Profile link is at upper left on the page.
