On that first strip.
With that strip needing to be pulled out of line to match the form - fix something. That is not right. Personally I would go as far as to recut the station and set up the forms again.

I had one in the same shape. Rob Macks of Laughing Loon said to staple the first strip on the gunwale line even if it is out of line, then release the form to let it naturally be put in place.
Which I did.

Something more was wrong (my cutting I assume) cause when I was doing the deck I saw an evil hump in the nose - at the same station. I ended up throwing away that deck and doing it again after smoothing out the form.

Better to fix it from the first.
