However I added stone powder to the fill coats, which is barely visible as a slightly hazing of the glass, but should increase the abrasion resistance by 25%.

I was intrigued by the idea...went searching and turned up this paper:

"Mechanical properties of epoxy resin based on granite stone powder from the Sergipe fold-and-thrust belt composites"
