I've seen the Stohlquist Amp and NRS Extreme Relief on sale.

Those both look like good suits.
IMO, things to compare between suits are the 'feet' and also whether there is a 'tunnel' that goes over the sprayskirt.
'Feet' :IMO, Gore-Tex socks>Latex socks>>>No socks and ankle gaskets
'Tunnel' - some folks like 'em, others don't. They do help to keep water out of the boat, especially if you are using a sprayskirt with a fabric (vs neoprene) tunnel. However, I've seen quite a few 'hot paddlers' (e.g. Leon Somme, Shawna Franklin) wearing the Kokatat non-tunnel (GFER) GoreTex suits with neoprene-tunnel skirts. In the Kokatat line, you can save $100 by skipping the tunnel (GFER vs GMER).
Some other options for Kokatat suits...
MEC has good prices in CDN $$....and the US $ is at a premium again, so it might be worth a phone call to them, even if you are in the US.
Kayak Academy (George Gronseth) is an excellent drysuit source and they often have deals on new older model suits and also used suits (with some warranty) from their kayak school operation. I purchased a new suit from them on closeout a few years ago and the price and service was excellent. Probably the best source for sizing info as well. BTW, you can order custom size suits from Kokatat at a moderate surcharge (via a dealer).
BTW, no matter which suit you buy, you'll be replacing the gaskets at some point, so check out the arrangements for that...it's not a difficult DIY project, but a lot of folks pay somebody to do the job for them.
