Justin, that's what I was thinking minus the rear portion but that's a great idea. I already purchased the back band but the way you've intergrated the back into it is real sweet. It would make the whole cockpit more rigid in that area. Just wonder, as expressed before, if it would be too rigid? I guess it all depends on how much rough water you encounter that would flex the boat enough. Have you completed it and done some paddling or is this a recent picture?
