Just a note to say that it's very inspiring to have a "older" gentleman here still looking forward to another build. Too many people lose the passion for life especially after retirement. In fact I never use the word retirement but rather redirecting. Retirement is actually a 20th century creation since I read somewhere it was the german Kaiser who set the retirement age to 65 for pension payouts. At the time life expectancy was much younger and he thought he was safe at setting this 'advanced' age. I'm still years away from so called retirement but I feel blessed to have found kayak building and kayaking in general and this forum especially. This site has such a wealth of knowledge and I'm thankful to those that so willingly contribute ideas and solutions. I started relatively late in this and I thank a 75 year old gentleman that loved to paddle who told me that his only regret was that he hadn't started 25 years earlier. Must be close to the U.S. thanksgiving I guess.
