It shouldn't be difficult to draw the internal strongback layout on a set of plans, as long as the waterline (or other straight reference line parallel to the WL) is marked on the sections.

There are a few reasons why you don't see many being built with internal strongbacks. On the first BP I built back in 2006/20007 I quickly learned the use of an internal strongback is next to impossible. A 2"x4" strongback in a 5"+ high rear deck does not leave a lot of room. The ends are also very pointed. You chop off much of the strongback. That said it CAN be done.
