I wonder how useful that would be - if you're following the same 'bevel' the entire length; most boats I've built require a rolling bevel, so I 'eye ball' it as I go. Plus, if your guide is wood, wouldn't you just be shaving it down, as well?

FWIW, my 'gaps' aren't perfect, but the boats turn out well enough. It takes me, likely, less than a minute to bevel a strip.

Maybe I'm not putting enough effort into it!
