LOL, it generally isn't the plow that gets the box, it's the snow thrown off the plow.

In rural Ontario, it was often the yahoo 'young adults' riding in the back of a pickup wielding baseball bats that were the problem. And they threw their beer cans in the ditch to add to the insult.

A really solid post might launch the offender, or at least dislocate a shoulder, which is a pleasant thought.

Mailboxes on swivels are pretty common.
