For cutting strips it helps to have long infeed and outfeed tables. I find it very worthwhile taking the time to get these done right and I try to make them folding, otherwise they just collect junk and get dirty. The folding tables can sit against the wall somewhere out of the way until they are needed.

The Bosch saw is pretty decent with a fair amount of power, should work fine, their mobile base is very nice. I've got one on my very modified Craftsman saw.
